To increase your emotional fluency, go through the Work Feelings Chart below. Write down at least 10 feelings you have and rate their intensity on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high). Expect to have a few of each intensity (high = 8–10, medium = 5–7, low = 1–4). Repeat the exercise regularly until you can list at least 10 feelings without having to refer to the chart.
